Hello,

I'm getting this error when I try and start Apache. The text I'm using (and
several old mailings) say this is caused by not running dns. The solution
is supposed to be to edit /etc/hosts and add the IP address and host name
that Apache is trying to use.

My machine has two NIC's. The first card was in /etc/hosts so I assumed
that Apache was trying to use the other (fxp0). I added the IP address and
host name, saved the file, and tried to start Apache again. Same results.

What am I doing wrong?

I don't want to have to set up bind just to use apache on a three machine
network!

Thanks,

John Purser
