So, packages would not provide any source codes as compared to ports, right? Then i guess compiling ports would be preferable to me. However, I suspect that the cd-rom that i burned from ISO image does not contain the ports' sources. What if, for e.g. i had installed apache+php, and there's a new version coming out.
