From your explanation and by reading the handbook, i began to understand
what's
going on. So, packages would not provide any source codes as compared to
ports,
right? Then i guess compiling ports would be preferable to me. However, I
suspect
that the cd-rom that i burned from ISO image does not contain the ports'
sources.

What if, for e.g. i had installed apache+php, and there's a new version
coming out.
Can i just upgrade it by using the "new" port? TIA.
