Do you still have the card? Would you mind trying out -HEAD? Please note that if it's an AR5212 then ath9k shouldn't be working with it as ath9k only supports AR5416 and later NICs. I've verified that the AR5213-based SR-2 from Ubiquiti works at its rated TX power.
