I've been trying hard to not find out; enough things break on ECE
facilitized FreeBSD systems as it is, because /usr/local/bin has all the
GNU crap in it so users get roughly consistent behavior across
platforms.  (Thankfully, most of it "goes away" just by turning off
arla....)
