If it's PowerPC 601 or any of the 64-bit PowerPC chips it's somewhat outside of what we're aiming to support with this. I can easily see a powerpc64 port happening later on, but 601 is just too old and too different from the "normal" PowerPC variants. --=20 Benno Rice --=-VXCk1CF7Ajo6Mf1xrKOe Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQA9+UQcXjRwWofFmQkRAh8HAJ97gU/ZwkIlqEcwsO9TG9Y0dC3cTwCggIxe u4eki/+pfBnj/hQSX5bcKC8= =mSSn -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-VXCk1CF7Ajo6Mf1xrKOe-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ppc" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-ppc Fri Dec 13 15:54:15 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CBEDE37B404 for ; Fri, 13 Dec 2002 15:54:14 -0800 (PST) Received: from gt3.OntheNet.com.au (nt.com.au [203.13.70.61]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8710343EA9 for ; Fri, 13 Dec 2002 15:54:13 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from grehan@freebsd.org) Received: from freebsd.org (CPE-203-45-245-212.qld.bigpond.net.au [203.45.245.212]) by gt3.OntheNet.com.au (8.11.4/8.11.4) with ESMTP id gBDNsqV52597; Sat, 14 Dec 2002 09:54:54 +1000 (EST) Message-ID: <3DFA7309.F5CE318B@freebsd.org> Date: Sat, 14 Dec 2002 09:53:45 +1000 From: Peter Grehan X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.79 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.14-12 i686) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: Bryan Vyhmeister Cc: freebsd-ppc@freebsd.org Subject: Re: generic PPC hardware References: <9BD3B7BE-0EDF-11D7-80EC-000393D5E5DA@hub3.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-freebsd-ppc@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG > I already pre-ordered one. This board uses the Mai Logica 'Articia S' system controller, as does the recently announced AmigaOne board (http://www.eyetech.co.uk/amigaone/oct252002a.php) It also uses PPCBoot for boot firmware, and support for that is planned sometime in the future for FreeBSD/PPC. later, Peter.
