I have freeBSD 3.1 release and do not find support for gethostbyname_r. I do see gethostbyaddr_r in libc_r.a but not the former function. Also the man pages for gethostbyaddr_r are not available either. Does anyone know how to get thread safe versions of the above functions, or do I have to move to 3.2.
