This is an address that uniquely identifies you as far as the IRC server is concerned. The parts of this address are nickname[ident@hostname.or.ip.address]. Your nickname is a1exus. Your ident server works perfectly, replying 'alexus' when asked. Your host is oddly set to 255.255.255.255! It's not identd that you're having problems with. Look elsewhere. -giorgos PS: For goodness' shake, trim your quotes. It's *very* ugly having to go through a message with more than 10 levels of nested quotations to find what you are replying to! This is also a question that has little or nothing to do with the freebsd-isp list. There is -questions for this type of stuff.
