Looks like your SSH keypair has been mangled:

% cat ~/.ssh/id_rsa
-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
[ ...should contain base-64 encoded data... ]
-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

If you don't have a valid keypair there in id_rsa and id_rsa.pub, use  
ssh-keygen to make a new one.
