Yuck. /usr/local/etc should be for configuring things in /usr/local. make(1) is not local software. > Or for that matter, /usr/src/make.conf and /usr/ports/make.conf? Again, yuck. Those directories are cvs-controlled; I can "rm -rf" and "cvs co" when I feel like it, and I want to continue to be able to do that. Personally, if we do split make.conf, I would like to see a new directory /etc/mk to hold the files. -- Matthew Hunt * Science rules. http://www.pobox.com/~mph/pgp.key for PGP public key 0x67203349.
