Thank you for your feedback. You are the first to reply in regards to
 this specifically.

According to the existing examples, "commercial offerings" and tradeshows
or conferences can not be the definition of the events webpage.

Please note that almost every event listed is a commercial offering.

Let's have a look at some the existing entries:

 Fosdem -- free event

Cebit -- commercial event (admission fees)

UKUUG LISA/Spring Conference -- commercial event (conference fees)

LinuxTag -- commercial event (entrance fees)

BSDCan -- commercial event (registration fees)

SANE -- commercial event (registration fees)

USENIX -- commercial event (registration fees)

GUFICon -- free event (if I translated correctly)

EuroBSDCon -- commercial event (registration fee)

USENIX BaySug User Group Meeting -- free event

Also note that some events are not FreeBSD specific.

And that some of the events are not conferences nor tradeshows.

Note that some of these commercial events have side classes that are very
 expensive.

Some of the events are entirely in the business to make money and do not
have any relation with FreeBSD other than the volunteers that assist.

(By the way, I have organized FreeBSD booths and BSD lectures, handed out
many FreeBSD CDs, FreeBSD books, DVDs, and raised funds for the FreeBSD
Foundation for four years at LinuxFest Northwest -- which is a free
 event.)
