Sorry, what do you mean with "USB to COM convertor". What Motorola offers
for my cellular is a datawire to connect the Laptop's USD-Port with the
dataplug of the cellular phone. Is it that what you mean?

Hmm ... I'll have to try that. It's a Motorola v66 and Motorola
says it has a modem built-in.
