I build both 4.0 and 4.1 on my box several times a week (although
I must admit I skip the C++ frontend).  A rough analogy is that
4.0 is equivalent to FreeBSD-5.4 (ie stable) and 4.1 is 
equivalent to FreeBSD-current (less stable).
