No need to be afraid of switching, basically all features you would ever use in Photoshop are also in GIMP (I said "basically", don't reply to tell feature "foo" isn't there). However, be prepared to spend some extra time in the beginning to _find_ those features in GIMP if you are used to Photoshop. I'd like to say that you should stick with watever feels best for you, but that doesn't mean not to broaden your horizons! Try GIMP and see what you think of it, it's probably the only way you'll ever be sure. Antoine: If it works in Linux, it should work in FreeBSD too... Try again some time when you feel experimental.
