The counter argument is that TeX and friends, an lout are first
and foremost *typesetting* applications. Other things they do
don't change the fundamental print-oriented nature.

The general trouble with "text" and "print" is that they are
fundamentally in a hierarchical relationship--text including most
of print--not a peer relationship as, say, "benchmarks" and
"games" are. "Graphics" and "print" have a similar problem.

Just going through the existing print category, some other things
I think should be moved (->) or have cross references added (xref ->):

  a2ps: xref -> converters
  html2latex: xref -> converters
  dvi2???: xref -> converters
  Lyx: -> editors (xref -> print?)
  makeindex: -> text (xref -> print?)
  tr2latex: xref -> converters

Quickly looking at other categories, some things in Chinese and
Vietnamese that could use cross references to print and
converters, eg gbscript and hc (GB <-> BIG-5 converter).
