For current ports, actively maintained upstream, it is obviously very 
desirable to get upstream fixed.  However, a surprisingly large portion
of the FreeBSD Ports Collection consists of aged, to avoid the terms
rotten or abandoned ports (on our side and/or upstream) and I do not
think it is worth sinking even more time into those by patching them.

Or are you planning to reinstate WITH_FBSD10_FIX at that point and
mass applying that to all affected ports?
