Hi there I would like to run Adobe's Linux version of acroread. It's V3.0 and 'file' sez: bash# file acroread acroread: ELF 32-bit LSB executable i386 (386 and up) Version 1 I did not pay much attention to Linux emulation in the past, so I'm wondering if ELF linux binaries have any chance of working anyway. This is on 2.1.5R with COMPAT_LINUX etc in the kernel. Would have searched the mail archives but: bash# traceroute www.freebsd.org traceroute to freefall.FreeBSD.org (204.216.27.18), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets 1 i0481p82.universal.nl (194.151.8.82) 244.194 ms 226.153 ms 218.995 ms 2 elstrouter.universal.nl (194.151.8.65) 229.131 ms 217.538 ms 218.779 ms 3 Arnhem1.unisrc.net (194.151.241.29) 228.905 ms 587.063 ms 339.000 ms 4 Amsterdam6.unisrc.net (194.151.254.12) 248.940 ms 347.195 ms 808.990 ms 5 Amsterdam-EBS.Ebone.net (193.148.15.67) 708.929 ms 507.618 ms 329.218 ms 6 Stockholm-ebs.Ebone.NET (192.121.155.10) 569.126 ms 588.076 ms 469.181 ms 7 * * * 8 * * * etc Wilko _ ____________________________________________________________________ | / o / / _ Bulte email: wilko@yedi.iaf.nl - Arnhem, The Netherlands |/|/ / / /( (_) Do, or do not.
