There is an idiom, "fortune favors the bold"; or to put it in language any moron can understand, "No Balls, No Glory". The world is filled with entrepreneurs like Fred Smith who started FedEx. They all had visions and proceeded to implement their vision. Christopher Columbus had a vision, got financial backing and made a killing in real estate. Your state, "Because a lot of people buy those products for usages that hardly work ...". I believe the correct terminology is "hardly works for you". This whole thread started with the OP stating that they could not get MS Teams to work on FreeBSD. Hell, my car won't work either if I fill it with diesel fuel, it is a gas model. The question is, is it the manufacturers fault for making a gas propelled car or my dump-ass for putting diesel in it? I agree, if it weren't for Gates or Jobs, or a theoretical physicist like Albert Einstein, life might be quite different today. In the end, someone else would probably taken their place, but you can never say that with complete confidence. In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.
