 Note that a similar PR has been submitted earlier, see

 William Grzybowski <wg@freebsd.org> asked two days ago a question
 about the PR 178860, which I answered (see below),  but after that
 I didn't see a reaction yet.
 
 I rather would like to see this solved first and than we probably
 don't need the PR 79142.
