I don't know what exactly made it working, though ... I changed the xorg video driver (replaced "i810" with "intel"), changed a few things in the configuration, bit depth is now 32 (I think it was 16 before). Now the xorg error message is gone, and the flash apps are displayed fine in linux-opera. It's still a step backwards because it works with native opera in FreeBSD 6, but I'm glad I could get it to work at all.
