BSD/OS has better SMP support on the i386 hardware platform (which is
being pulled into 5.0-CURRENT and SMPng... I think that's what it is
called).

Beyond that... I can't say that it is or not. It depends on the
application (ie: where and what is it going to be used) and your
requirements.
