currently i am using mozilla w/o java just fine; i don't want
mozilla port to be even more bloated.

i assume that will be necessary only if one needs java support;  i
don't, so instead of making JDK to be a run dependency, add it as an
option if you must, say, WITH_JAVA or some such.
