I also get the same identification for my pccard. Do you also have a TI-1410 Cardbus controller? You can also try booting with 'boot -v' (press any key besides enter when prompted at boot, and then type that) and see if you get a more verbose error message. Also, you are not supposed to use pccardd anymore with 5.0 (from what I understand) so I asuume you are using the kernel configuration OLDCARD (or the relevant bits from it), is this true?
