Thanks Dan Beckett Hello, I've been running into a bit of trouble trying to get a Linksys WPC54g v4 pc card working with NDIS. The card gets recognized fine after plugging it in, but I can't set an SSID under ifconfig, and any attempts I make to set either WEP or WPA-PSK keys result in kernel panics. Here's the backtrace from the memory dumps. I got no idea where to go from here, so any help is very appreciated. Thanks much Dan Unread portion of the kernel message buffer: kernel trap 12 with interrupts disabled Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode fault virtual address = 0x0 fault code = supervisor read, page not present instruction pointer = 0x20:0xc0658328 stack pointer = 0x28:0xd2eadb38 frame pointer = 0x28:0xd2eadb40 code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b = DPL 0, pres 1, def32 1, gran 1 processor eflags = resume, IOPL = 0 current process = 580 (smbiod1) trap number = 12 panic: page fault Uptime: 1d0h2m58s Dumping 319 MB (2 chunks) chunk 0: 1MB (159 pages) ... ok chunk 1: 319MB (81648 pages) 303 287 271 255 239 223 207 191 175 159 143 127 111 95 79 63 47 31 15 #0 doadump () at pcpu.h:165 165 pcpu.h: No such file or directory. in pcpu.h (kgdb) where #0 doadump () at pcpu.h:165 #1 0xc0638202 in boot (howto=260) at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_shutdown.c:399 #2 0xc0638498 in panic (fmt=0xc084e5a2 "%s") at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_shutdown.c:555 #3 0xc0807c30 in trap_fatal (frame=0xd2eadaf8, eva=0) at /usr/src/sys/i386/i386/trap.c:831 #4 0xc08073d2 in trap (frame= {tf_fs = -1034420216, tf_es = -1034420184, tf_ds = -1034420184, tf_edi = -1047387112, tf_esi = 0, tf_ebp = -756360384, tf_isp = -756360412, tf_ebx = -1049046656, tf_edx = -1049046656, tf_ecx = -1040551788, tf_eax = 4, tf_trapno = 12, tf_err = 0, tf_eip = -1067089112, tf_cs = 32, tf_eflags = 65543, tf_esp = 0, tf_ss = -1040551788}) at /usr/src/sys/i386/i386/trap.c:267 #5 0xc07f6dca in calltrap () at /usr/src/sys/i386/i386/exception.s:139 #6 0xc0658328 in turnstile_broadcast (ts=0x0) at /usr/src/sys/kern/subr_turnstile.c:711 #7 0xc062facb in _mtx_unlock_sleep (m=0xc1fa7094, opts=0, file=0xc1c370c2 "/usr/src/sys/modules/smbfs/../../netsmb/smb_iod.c", line=97) at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_mutex.c:664 #8 0xc062f90a in _mtx_unlock_flags (m=0xc1fa7094, opts=0, file=0xc1c370c2 "/usr/src/sys/modules/smbfs/../../netsmb/smb_iod.c", line=97) at /usr/src/sys/kern/kern_mutex.c:365 #9 0xc1c2ba5b in ??
