Umm, I wish you'd checked this with me first.

I replied to this request once before and my position is still the
same. Until I see evidence that more cards are set to 0x300 by default
than to 0x280, then it should stay at 0x280.

You've now forced what I think is the majority of users to boot -c
to change the kernel setting rather than a single individual having to
do it. I want this changed back until we have more evidence as to what
the majority of lnc cards are set to by default.
