I'm getting some terrible sounding distortion when playing .au files on my FreeBSD box. Wave files play with out a hitch. Anyone have an idea what may be causing this? I'm using: System: FreeBSD3.2-Release sound: css0 at 0x534 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x100 on isa snd0: <CS4232 (CS4236)> I've noticed that the same sort of distortion exists when I play wave files with Java Applications (which I'm told converts them to .au).
