/etc/rc does though:

chkdepend amd amd_enable        rpcbind rpcbind_enable
chkdepend amd amd_enable        NFS nfs_client_enable
chkdepend NFS nfs_server_enable rpcbind rpcbind_enable
chkdepend NIS nis_server_enable rpcbind rpcbind_enable
chkdepend NIS nis_client_enable rpcbind rpcbind_enable
