You didnt say whether you mounted /usr, so that may well be why you
couldnt cd to /usr/src. The best way to deal with that message is to
start /bin/sh or /bin/csh and run the following

fsck -y 

And hope to the gods that it works. After that, reboot and you will
hopefully okay.
