Yes that's it. So, if I understand correctly, since I always strip msdos support out of the kernel, that the msdos kernel module needs to be loaded dynamically to mount /dev/fd0. It would seem that only root is allowed (by default) to load kernel mods, thus the vfsload error when normal users try to mount /dev/fd0, am I right? Thank you very much! -- Joshua
