No, I recompiled the kernel a couple of times, most recently to remove
USB so that the following stops (and after removing USB it did stop):

And that should cover the next time period.  I booted into single user
mode on the 27th, then did:
# mount /
# mound /var
# mount /tmp
# mount /usr
# fsck -y /dev/vinum/array
(it was clean)
# vinum
->l
->start array.p1
(time passed and after all of the subdisks were reported back up)
->quit
# vinum l
# fsck -n /dev/vinum/array
(Pages and pages, more than the default screen buffer of errors)
# vinum l > vinumlist
(so that I would have the list to include in this e-mail, given above)
# vinum stop array.p1
# fsck -y /dev/vinum/array
(finished with zero errors)
(I left out a few times when I asked for a list to see how it was
doing on reviving, but you can see those in the log above.)

As noted above, I did it in single user mode, with the vinum array
unmounted.  If I can provide any further information that would be
helpful, I would be glad to do so.  However, I won't have access to
this server now for about a week, but I'll be happy to provide any
further information then.
