He tells that the finger from 4.7 does not work with Ascend MAX4000
access server, while finger from 4.6.2 and GNU ginger work like a
charm with the same setup. Basically command of the form:

finger @X.Y.Z.W

hangs indefinitely after printing initial [X.Y.Z.W]. Please investigate
if possible.
