From inside a function:
    send_data->aio_fildes = descriptor;	
    send_data->aio_buf = buf;
    send_data->aio_nbytes = nbytes;
    send_data->aio_sigevent.sigev_notify = SIGEV_SIGNAL;
    send_data->aio_sigevent.sigev_signo = SIGIO;
    send_data->aio_sigevent.sigev_value.sival_int = descriptor;
    aio_write(&(aiocb_set->write_aiocb_table[descriptor]);

The write completes but a signal is never sent to the process - when I run
under gdb and set it to stop at a SIGIO it never stops. Am I
misunderstanding the API?
