I described it shortly in the commit, the longer version is that
PORTSDIR is defined in bsd.ports.pre.mk, so you can't use it before
including bsd.ports.pre.mk, which was done here. Another solution would
have been to move this include below the inclusion of bsd.ports.pre.mk,
but the CURDIR solution is in line with the other pnet ports.
