ansi isn't a bad choice.
but also look on the target machine's termcap (or terminfo) database,
for the SCO xenix console.. it's compatible with our syscons..
alternatively, make a kernal with pcvt and then it's emulating a
DEC vt 220 (or whatever) and EVERYTHING supports those..
