Just upgraded a box last night to 2.2.1-RELEASE. I'm running into the same problem. It looks like passwd gets forked, but the error message I end up with is: "passwd: getlogin: Undefined error: 0" My C skills are pretty lacking, but if I get any further, I'll let you know. Russ
