Although he would * have to fetch megabytes again and again without real need. I think you misread the commit messages. What we did was to make sure everything is back to the original files (not symlinks) and add a note explaining *not* to change these with every release unless the newer version is no longer a symlink. This saves even the porter from fetching the file over. :) Satoshi
