Hello,

Yesterday I did a cvsup of RELENG_4 and made the world, so I am now running
4.2-BETA. Then, when early this morning I tried to run StarOffice 5.2,
it dumped core. Since I did a manual install of StarOffice some time
ago, I decided to reinstall it using the port, but this also fails:

StarOffice 5.2 Personal Install How-To

You will very shortly have finished a network install of StarOffice 5.2.
Once that is done exit X11 and run it again as the user that you usually use.
Then run "make install-user" and do a standard workstation install.
Change the install path to $HOME/office52. Then add $HOME/office52/ to your path.

It will now be ready to use.

Good Luck

Then, I decided to try something: I copied the linux.ko module from
a machine running 4.1.1-RELEASE, loaded it and... voilą! StarOffice 5.2
was flawlessly installed and runs OK. But when I load 4.2-BETA's linux.ko,
it dumps core:

Nov 3 13:17:49 v-ger /kernel: pid 7574 (soffice.bin), uid 306: exited on signal 11 (core dumped)

Something is broken in the Linuxulator. However, other Linux apps, such
as Netscape 4.75, run OK.
