For those that care, even a "closed" access point will be seen by
dstumbler in monitor (prism2) mode.  The problem is that as soon as
a node associates with the AP, the two devices chatter back and forth
revealing the SSID constantly.  Closed is great, as long as you aren't=20
talking. =20

Just like WEP... it's wired equivalent as long as you don't transmit
any data.
