lost ;-) what version of racoon ? You should update to the lastest

crisco# uptime
11:12AM  up 6 days, 13:22, 1 user, load averages: 0.21, 0.29, 0.21
crisco# uname -v
FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT #0: Thu Jan  8 21:02:11 UTC 2004 .......
crisco# netstat -s -p ipsec | grep 'processed successfully'
        207282 inbound packets processed successfully
        211147 outbound packets processed successfully

There have been known issues with IPSEC.

Not tried _latest_ HEAD but above is HEAD from JAn 8th with
patches which are mostly committed now.

I will be able to further test an up-to-date HEAD this evening and
will let people know.

You may perhaps want to follow the "IPSec fixes" thread on this
list for more information.
