Look at http://www.freebsd.org And especially at the part saying "Easy
to install" Follow the link there and read thoroughly!

Where does anyone say that FreeBSD is 'compatible with MS-DOS' I don't
quite understand. FreeBSD is UNIX. DOS is DOS. FreeBSD can (with dos
emulator) run some DOS programs, but who would want that? FreeBSD can
(with wine) run some W3.11 programs, but who would want that?
