Not entirely on topic here, but has anybody checked out xdoom? I did FreeBSD console support for it a while ago, I haven't been in contact with the developer, Udo Munk, but it seems he's still working on it. It has a bunch of new features not found in the original version of DOOM (of course, the coolest of them being FreeBSD syscons support :) The latest version can be found at ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/doom/source priit.
