About buying some used, faster machine there are some questions left. Toshiba and IBM are the only manufacurers building trackpoints into their laptops (AFAIK). Anything else is not for me, because i hate touchpads. Offers that i can afford are: Thinkpad 770 or 390x, used Toshibas seem to be more expensive in general.
