This device gobbles up the Option ROMs in the ISA memory I/O space. Otherwise, our resource allocation system might mistakenly assign pccard, plug and play devices or other things addresses that conflict with ROMs. I cleaned up his code a little from the submited driver: style(9) issues, commentary on why something that looks incorrect really is correct. Also noted that while a checksum field is defined for the ROMs, enough common hardware neglects it to make it not worthwhile checking.
