I was able to install this package, but then had to manually install wine-gecko. After changing $PACKAGESITE to the i386 location for latest 8-STABLE, it was possible, and wine is running. Even though my new system feels much faster, fine-tuning and repeated repeatative repeatition problem, i. e. re-installing from scratch is a always something I try to avoid.
