I had the same problem on one machine doing some regular batch ftp transfers. It occurred when running versions 4.6.2-RELEASE and 4.7-RELEASE. Since I updated to 4.7-STABLE after the patch was committed I never had any problems with LAST_ACK. My advise: update to 4.7-STABLE or wait for 4.8-RELEASE (don't know when it's out, shouldn't be too far away).
