I believe there is an error in the FreeBSD Handbook, section 2.13.4, Installing from an MS-DOS Partition: "Each distribution is in its own directory; for example, the bin distribution can be found in the 5.0/bin/ directory" It should say the base distribution can be found in the 5.0/base/ directory, that is, where it is saying "bin" it should now be saying "base" (either that, or the ftp site is confused :-) ).
