Try "man passwd" and look for the "-w" option, but seriously we should
be getting away from forced changes - they fill a much needed gap.
Consider this recommendation:

   Verifiers SHOULD NOT require memorized secrets to be changed
arbitrarily (e.g.,
   periodically).
