Reminds me of the time the old _Pogo_ comic strip did a series
on pollsters. One of the regulars was playing pollster, and was filling
Pogo in on how strictly honest they were. It went something like this:

Pollster: "We figured that the type of person who'd vote for our
candidate was the type of person who'd eat mushrooms on their pizza. So,
we went looking in their garbage cans for mushroom seeds. We didn't find
any, so we decided to count mushmelon seeds instead."

Pogo: "Gads! You must have gotten millions."

Pollster: "Well, actually, our sampler claimed more people than
there was on Earth. Had his license pulled for six months. Oh, we
must be fair!"
