As a non-hardware/firmware/kernel guy, I'm possibly just blowing smoke, but could the SRM or PALcode version differences cause this? Of course, I'm not willing to 'upgrade' to a non-working configuration unless someone can give me assurance that I can get back, and explicit directions on how to do so...:) Also, if Tillman is willing, we could exchange media and see if each other's media will boot the opposite machine. That might either eliminate or confirm a bad media issue.
