Any idea of where I might begin to even look to troubleshoot it? 2 thoughts occur to me: 1) Are you sure you are in PASSIVE mode? AFAIK, ftp defaults to ACTIVE, so you must specify PASSIVE. 2) Are you perhaps running IPFW or IPF on your FreeBSD box? Perhaps that is where the FTP is being blocked - on your FreeBSD box, not your company firewall.
