I'd be surprised - your ISP will usually use different hardware for 
DNS and for dialin.  Try adding ``enable dns'' to your ppp config if 
you're running version 2.X (if you're not, you can get it via 
http://www.Awfulhak.org/ppp.html).  If your ISP supports it, ppp can 
set up your resolv.conf file for you.
